Guehi heads to Manchester instead of Liverpool

Marc Guehi – uefa.com
Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi was supposed to join Liverpool at the end of the summer transfer window. Coach Oliver Glasner however made an ultimatum: If Crystal Palace sell the defender, he will resign. Therefore, Crystal Palace decided to keep Guehi for the final year of his contract. Still, Premier League big guns do not forget about the English national team player.
As per The Times, Manchester City view the 25-year-old as one of the primary candidates to strengthen their defense. They have followed Guehi for a while now and are prepared to make a transfer. On the other hand, Crystal Palace does not exclude a possible sale of the defender as early as winter to avoid losing him for free. Liverpool continues to follow Guehi too. Same goes for Munich’s Bayern
Backup for Kounde found at Barcelona
Jules Kounde is indispensable for Barça on the right wing of defense. There is basically a replacement for the Frenchman, but it certainly wouldn’t be the same level. Therefore, the Barcelona administration is looking for a successor for Jules. Sky Sport Germany correspondent Patrick Berger reports that Barcelona are interested in Borussia Dortmund defender Julian Ryerson. The Catalans already had preliminary talks with representatives of the 28-year-old Norwegian. However, there are no concrete deals between the parties yet. Transfermarkt estimates the player at €20 million and Ryerson signed a contract with Borussia until the end of the summer in 2028. Therefore, the Catalans will still need to spend a not insignificant sum to bring the defender to Barcelona.
Kante may come back to the Premier League from Saudi Arabia

N’Golo Kante – chelseafc.com
We do not usually talk about N’Golo Kante in Saudi Arabia, but the World Champion of 2018 could be back in our spotlight soon! According to L’Équipe, a move for Kante to Premier League clubs or French Ligue 1 is highly probable. Al-Ittihad are currently working on extending N’Golo’s contract for one more year, but a move to England or France is also a possibility. The Saudis do not want to let Kante go, especially during the mid-season. We should recall that Kante played in England for Chelsea and Leicester. And in France, he played for Boulogne and Caen.
Barcelona has a replacement ready for captain Araujo?
Ronald Araujo was mentally battered by the failure in the Champions League against Chelsea. In the first half, the defender was sent off and then asked Barca for a break to get back together. Araujo even went to Israel to get “spiritual” help.
Currently, we hear nothing about a possible separation between the Catalans and Ronald. Barca values the Uruguayan, but is already thinking about reinforcing the team. According to ESPN, Barca are interested in Aston Villa defender Pau Torres. Torres would consider returning to Spain if Barca were to seriously pursue signing him. In Barca, they are looking for a long-term defender who would partner Pau Cubarsi. Do we expect a Pau-Pau duo under Hansi Flick?
Top clubs of the Premier League fight for the best winter opportunity

Antoine Semenyo – football.london
Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo is the number one target for several Premier League top clubs this winter. Fabrizio Romano reports that Manchester City and Manchester United contacted Bournemouth and Semenyo’s representatives this week about a possible transfer in January.
And The Telegraph states that MU will make all efforts to sign Semenyo. The Mancunians plan to use the uncertainty surrounding the future of Pep Guardiola as the head coach of Manchester City as an advantage. Besides MU, also Tottenham and Liverpool are in the running for Semenyo. We should remember that, as of January 2026, the buyout clause in Semenyo’s contract with Bournemouth will be £65 million (approximately €74.1 million), which is the exact amount that the interested clubs plan to use to purchase Antoine.
Karim Adeyemi leaves Borussia because of…his rapper girlfriend
One of the biggest names at Borussia Dortmund, Karim Adeyemi, is leaving the club. According to Bild, Adeyemi’s reason is his girlfriend. The 30-year-old rapper girlfriend, Loredana, is tired of living in Dortmund and therefore asked Adeyemi to change clubs. Karim has already changed agents in order to find himself a new club.
In November, Fabrizio Romano reported that Adeyemi is considering a move to a European top club in the summer of 2026. However, in this case, it is not entirely impossible that Adeyemi moves to a new club before that – i.e., as early as January.
MU and Newcastle find reinforcement in Al-Hilal
Ruben Neves played in the Premier League for Wolverhampton from 2017 to 2023. After that, he left for Al-Hilal. Now Ruben is planning a return to England. The Times report that the 28-year-old player has turned down Al-Hilal’s offer to extend his contract. Therefore, the Saudis are going to sell Ruben in January. Three Premier League clubs are fighting for Ruben: Manchester United, Newcastle, and West Ham. The estimated price for Ruben is €20.5 million. Not much for a player in the Portuguese national team.
The “new Del Piero” expected in England?

Kenan Yildiz – football-italia.net
Kenan Yildiz is the main asset and the star of Juventus. However, in recent seasons, Juventus did not win the Serie A title and were far from the decisive rounds of the Champions League. Therefore, the Turk may think about moving to the Premier League. Journalist Ben Jacobs reports that Manchester United are willing to spend €100 million to make Kenan Yildiz’s transfer happen!
Indeed, Manchester United themselves did not qualify for European competitions this season. However, Ruben Amorim’s team is very capable of participating in the Champions League next season. So, the transfer does not seem absurd. It is worth recalling that Bild previously reported Liverpool’s interest in Yildiz. He is considered as the number one candidate in the event Mohamed Salah leaves.
