Ousmane Dembélé of French club Paris Saint-Germain was named the Best Player of the World during the ceremony of Globe Soccer Awards 2025

Dembélé defeated other notable players such as Lamine Yamal and Harry Kane for the title of the Best Player of the Year, according to RBC-Ukraine referring to information about the results of the ceremony which took place in Dubai on December 28, 2025.


Dembélé’s Golden Year


According to RBC-Ukraine, it was the “Golden” year for the team-mate of the Ukrainian player Ilya Zabarnyi – Ousmane Dembélé. He won the statuette of the Globe Soccer Awards for the first time and collected all of the major individual prizes of the planet. Therefore, he had already been identified as the Best Player by the organizers of the Ballon d’Or and also was successful at the ceremony of The Best FIFA Football Awards 2025. In the outgoing year, the talented winger was one of the key factors in the success of PSG in the Champions League and in the French Championship, he showed incredible productivity by scoring 35 goals in 53 matches. 
As many as 24 opponents, including the young star of FC Barcelona Lamine Yamal, top-scorer of Bayern Harry Kane and the ex-team-mate of Dembélé Gianluigi Donnarumma, lost to Dembélé in the voting. It should be noted that prior to Dembélé, only Kylian Mbappé, representing the Parisian club, won the award in 2021.

Young Players of the Year – Lamine Yamal and Aitana Bonmatí

Although, he could not win the award for the Best Player of the Year, Lamine Yamal (18) did not leave the ceremony empty-handed. He won in two nominations – he was identified as the Best Player of the Year and he won the Special Diego Maradona Award for exceptional talent and technique.

Best Female Player of the Year – Aitana Bonmatí 
The winner in the category of the Best Female Player of 2025 was Aitana Bonmatí (FC Barcelona). The Spanish player confirmed her position as a leader of world football and won the Ballon d’Or and the Best FIFA Award in 2025, as well as she was named the Best Female Player of the Year by Globe Soccer Awards.

Management and Individual Achievements Were Recognized by the Organizers 
The organizers of Globe Soccer Awards 2025 paid special attention to management and individual achievements. The best Sporting Director was recognized as Luís Campos (Paris Saint-Germain), while the best Club President was awarded to Nasser Al-Khelaifi. As for the agents, the traditional leadership belongs to Jorge Mendes, the founder of GestiFute. A special award for an outstanding career was awarded to football legends – Andrés Iniesta and Hidetoshi Nakata. An award for the Comeback of the Year was given to Paul Pogba (Monaco).

Separately, the ceremony honored the heroes of the Spanish La Liga Season 2024/25. The best coach was recognized as Hansi Flick (FC Barcelona), the best player was Raphinha (FC Barcelona) and the best Save was awarded to Jan Oblak (Atlético Madrid).

There were poignant moments in the ceremony in Dubai. A special Memorial Prize was awarded to the parents of Diogo Jota – Joaquim and Isabel. Recall that Diogo, together with his brother André Teixeira, tragically died in a car accident in Spain in July of this year. The gesture of the organizers of Globe Soccer Awards 2025 became a sign of support for the family and a tribute to the memory of the talented footballer.

It should be recalled that Globe Soccer Awards have been held annually since 2010. The record holder for the number of victories in the nomination of the Best Player of the Year is Cristiano Ronaldo, who has won this award six times. Among the winners are Argentine Lionel Messi and Polish Robert Lewandowski, and so on.
