For Girona, 2025 was a tough year in the Spanish championship.

Girona, which under Michel’s leadership created a sensation by qualifying for the Champions League based on the results of the 2023/24 season, two years later suffered a collapse.

The performances of the “red-and-whites” in the 2025/26 campaign are terrible. Girona is in the relegation zone with 15 points to their name. Overall, 2025 was a difficult period for Michel’s team. The club, for which Viktor Tsygankov, Vladyslav Vanat, and Vladyslav Krapyvtsev play, is the worst in terms of points earned in La Liga. Girona earned only 31 points. Above them are Mallorca (36), Real Sociedad (38), Sevilla (39), and Alaves (43).
